Ariel Gail
Prof. Gail S. Goodman is the Distinguished Professor of Psychology as well as Director of the Center for Public Policy Research at the University of California Davis. Her name is associated with the start of modern science's study on children's memory and eyewitness testimony, as well as using child victims when in court. Professor Goodman has published numerous papers with numerous grants, and has was awarded several international and national prizes. She has collaborated with a variety of organisations and governments around the globe on studies and policy issues pertaining to children who have been victims of the legal system. She acts as consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center) of the Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She is a member of various professional associations, for example, those of the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. (Divisions Experimental Psychology and Developmental Psychology Society for Child and Family Praxis and Policy American Psychology Law Society Psychology of Women and Traumatic Stress 56) Professor Goodman is an active part of Psychonomics Society, the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children (Founding member) International Society for the Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect and the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She was president of American Psychological Association's Developmental Division and Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Society for Child and Family the Practice and Policy.
